Leadership
A group of inspiring women who all have a drive to serve the women in our community.

Heather Lefoll, Birth Doula and Energy Healer
Board Chair
As Board Chair for the WOMB Initiative, Heather LeFoll is a dedicated leader and
compassionate advocate for maternal wellness, guided by a deep-seated belief that
motherhood is a sacred calling. Heather’s journey to this role is deeply personal; as a mother to
both living and angel babies, she has navigated the profound trenches of grief and postpartum
recovery and the exquisite joys of motherhood. These lived experiences fueled her mission to
ensure that no mother feels alone, inadequate, or unsupported in her own journey.
Heather is the founder of Two Hearts Healing, where she serves as a trauma informed birth
Doula and a practitioner specializing in the Body Code and Emotion Code systems. Her
practice is uniquely focused on helping pregnant and postpartum women release trapped
emotional energy so they can reconnect to their bodies, their babies, and their inner knowing.
Using the Body Code system and intuitive muscle testing, Heather helps uncover emotionally
charged moments stored in the body and facilitates gentle release. Her specialty areas include
supporting women experiencing persistent morning sickness, fear of birth, birth-related trauma,
and postpartum emotional struggles — guiding them back into trust, clarity, and embodied
confidence.
In her leadership at the WOMB Initiative, Heather combines her clinical expertise with a
commitment to Service, Divinity, and Empowerment. She is an active voice in the birth-work
community, frequently contributing to events such as the Birth Time documentary screening and
facilitating workshops like "Introduction to Doulas". Whether she is mentoring new doulas or
advocating for systemic change, Heather’s work is always centered on unveiling the "mother’s
heart" within every woman and fostering a world where pregnancy and birth are honored as
sacred rites of passage.
Beyond her professional advocacy, Heather is a lifelong learner who continuously seeks reliable
resources to better support those around her. She resides in Vermont, where she enjoys a life
centered on faith, family, and the intentional creation of joyful memories.

Jessie Ingerson
Board Secretary
Mother to an angel baby and a rainbow baby, motherhood has been a journey that I would not trade for anything else. But it hasn't always been rainbows and sunshine and left me feeling alone at times in the trenches of grief and postpartum recovery. Through the experiences I have lived through, I have worked to educate myself with reliable sources and to try my best to provide support for friends and others near me in any form, in hopes that they will not have the feeling of being alone and are not enough or that they did not do enough. I hope to continue to educate myself and support others in any way I can. In an attempt to support another mama so she does not know the darkness that I once lived in during my own lows in my journey. And that how we feel is valid and that they are not alone in this journey.

Board of Directors

Michaela Tomko
Board Member
I am a postpartum doula and myofascial practitioner supporting mothers and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. I am the founder of Sacred Hearth Healing and Sacred Hearth Postpartum Doula Care, where I offer in-home postpartum support and body-based care for mothers. I completed my postpartum doula training through the Ayurvedic Center of Vermont, which shaped my approach to hands-on postpartum care rooted in relationship, trust, and the support of health and healing.
I am also the mother to a 9-year-old son who was born at home, his wisdom, curiosity, and love continue to teach me daily, deeply informing how I show up for families during the postpartum period. My work is further guided by a deep appreciation for natural living and care practices that support the body’s innate capacity for healing.
As a board member of WOMB Initiative, I bring a hands-on, community-grounded perspective informed by both professional training and lived experience. I am passionate about supporting families through the postpartum period and helping build systems that make this care more accessible, sustainable, and valued across the North Country.

Kailene Jones, MPH
Grants & Strategic Partnership Consultant
Funding Committee Chair
Natural birth enthusiast, mother of 3, and public health professional with a passion to make a broad impact on the lives of women and their children. Kailene has been captivated by the perinatal world since childhood, growing up as the oldest of six and attending 6 births before the age of 18, she fell in love with the empowering journey she watched multiple women embark on while they brought new life into the world. Kailene quickly realized she wanted to make a difference that would require much more than just providing direct care. This desire led her to obtaining a bachelor's degree in Public Health in 2017, followed by a master’s degree in Public Health from in 2020. Throughout her academic career Kailene focused her research on maternal health needs and outcomes, gaining a wealth of knowledge regarding the necessity for systems change in the US maternity care industry. Currently employed by Dartmouth Health, Kailene now has 5 years of public health project coordination experiences, 2 years of public health project management experience, and 3 years of grant writing experience. Kailene is eager to use these public health skills to help strategically build WOMB into a sustainable nonprofit that will provide North Country women and families with holistic perinatal resources/education, connection and supports for years to come.

Taylor Imhoff, Birth Doula
Doula Collective Committee Chair
Birth, breastfeeding, and motherhood enthusiast, Taylor felt the undeniable pull toward birth work since childhood. Taylor became a DONA Doula in 2019 and served as a volunteer doula in Chicago, Illinois before moving back to her native New England. Since settling in New Hampshire, her passion for equitable, safe, and empowering birth experiences has led her to join WOMB. She brings with her over 10 years of experience in corporate and adult education and professional development, which informs her approach to educating, supporting, and collaborating with expectant mothers. Taylor’s children have given her two unique birth experiences that inform her practice; one ecstatic natural birth and one high-risk pregnancy, which resulted in a complex c-section birth and 12-day NICU stay for her daughter. Both experiences have deepened her ability to accept and celebrate all birth experiences, and equipped her with a wealth of knowledge to support natural, high-risk, unexpected, and complicated births. She joined the Board of Directors in October of 2022 and is privileged to serve alongside a group of strong, inspiring, intelligent, and passionate birth professionals. She believes that WOMB will move mountains in the birth world as we walk alongside, support, and nurture the mothers of the north country.
