In the process of becoming a mother we walk through a portal of transition; we leave the familiar and step in to the unknown. In many ways the contraction and expansion that happens during labor begins on an emotional level when the mother prepares and becomes pregnant. Each stage bringing on a new emotional and physical sensation and path to navigate. There are both breaking points and strengthening points, we fall apart and build ourselves back stronger and wiser than before. We are not meant to journey on this path alone. Ideally, we would surround ourselves with mothers, aunts, grandmothers, and women of the community who offer support, comfort, advice and understanding of our ups and down as we navigate motherhood.

Our Story...
The WOMB Initiative started because of the growing need of women throughout different points during their pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum seeking support and information about procedures, choices, and the journey of motherhood.
The women in the North Country in NH all know that you wouldn't climb a mountain without a backpack full of resources. We at the WOMB Initiative feel that your perinatal time should be viewed as a journey into and through motherhood, and you shouldn't be empty-handed.
Let us help you by filling your metaphorical backpacks full of resources for your journey. We serve young maidens, new and experienced mothers, and those who are in their wise years.
