Nursing Nook & Changing Space at the Lancaster Fair

We are actively seeking Community-based & Certified Doulas, CHWs, IBCLCs, Breastfeeding Support Workers, CLCs, and students to join our Volunteer-force and/or participate on our Nursing Nook Committee.

Are you passionate about community breastfeeding support and respectful birth practices?

Do you want to serve families at festivals, fairs, and community spaces—on your own time, with other amazing birth workers?

Join our Nursing Nook Team and become part of a movement to make infant feeding more supported and less stigmatized.

✅ Provide direct care or virtual on-call support

✅ Choose events that work with your schedule

✅ Earn mileage reimbursement, stipends (when available), and professional recognition

✅ Shape the Nursing Nook & Changing Space as a replicable model for rural support

In January 2024, WOMB received an annual sponsorship from Service Credit Union for the purposes of launching our first Nursing Nook!  The 10x10 privacy pop-up tent is designed to provide families with a semi-private, comfortable, and safe space to nurse/feed and change/care for their children at community events. This offering, ensures no mother navigates her journey alone and promotes family-friendly environments throughout the North Country of New Hampshire and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
