About the event
We have invited a special guest, Danielle Woods BSN RN IBCLC of Valley Woods Lactation, to lead us in a breastfeeding support circle.
Breastfeeding can be both one of the most rich and rewarding experiences of motherhood, but it also can present with many difficulties and challenges. Join together in a community of breastfeeding women to either be a support to others, or to find support and help.
Danielle' provided bio and website valleywoodslactation.com :
I am a registered nurse with over twenty years of pediatric nursing experience and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2020 providing lactation support in the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire. I am a mother of two and had my own struggles with breastfeeding, I know how hard it can be.
My passion is to help you reach your unique breastfeeding goals. I offer prenatal appointments before baby arrives and post-partum support for challenges with feeding (breastfeeding should never be painful!). Whether your baby is struggling to gain weight, you are having pumping challenges, you are returning to work, or ready to wean, I am here to help! We’ll work together to set realistic goals and create a sustainable plan for your family. I have supported parents in their lactation journeys in a number of different settings, including in hospital, outpatient in an obstetric office, and in feeding support groups.
In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors with my family in all seasons, spending time with my two crazy active dogs (literally trying to tire them out!), traveling, cooking, hiking and skiing. You just might see me on the ski slopes as a youth ski instructor!
I aim to support your feeding goals, educate you about feeding (breast, bottle, formula, or any combination of), and provide you with a personalized plan for YOU and YOUR baby.
I hope you’ll reach out for judgement-free lactation support.
Breastfeeding infants and babies are welcome, but due to limited space, we do ask that older children do not come. If you need help and support finding childcare, please contact WOMB at info@wombinitiative.org
