About the event
WOMB's Pregnancy Loss Circle is a supportive gathering designed for individuals who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, or any form of pregnancy loss. This compassionate space invites participants to come together to share their experiences, find comfort, and support one another in a safe, understanding environment. Led by experienced facilitators, the circle includes guided reflections, shared stories, and gentle activities to honor each unique journey of grief and healing. All who have been impacted by pregnancy loss are welcome to join this circle, where they can feel seen, heard, and supported among others who truly understand.
About the Facilitators
The WOMB Initiative is excited to partner with Debbie Szauter, Spiritual Counselor of North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency, who embrace a whole person approach to care and recognizes that spiritual support is important to many of their patients and their families.
"I moved to New Hampshire from central Ohio ten years ago. I enjoy reading, baking bread, easy hikes, and exploring the special places in New Hampshire. Meditating by Lower Falls is wonderful. I like indoor and outdoor plants and have finally figured out that what grew in Ohio doesn’t always grow here. I am a retired LPN, a death doula, and a lay eucharist minister at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lancaster. I am also a funeral celebrant. I provide spiritual and emotional support for hospice patients and their loved ones."-Debbie
Debbie will be joined with WOMB's most recent board member Jessie Ingerson (Hooker), Mother to an angel baby and a rainbow baby, motherhood has been a journey that she would not trade for anything else. But it hasn't always been rainbows and sunshine and left her feeling alone at times in the trenches of grief and postpartum recovery. Through the experiences she has lived through, she has worked to educate herself with reliable sources and to try her best to provide support for friends and others near her in any form, in hopes that they will not have the feeling of being alone and are not enough or that they did not do enough. She hopes to continue to educate herself and support others in any way she can. In an attempt to support another mama so she does not know the darkness that Jessie once lived in during her own lows in her journey. She is committed to helping mothers know their feelings are valid and that they are not alone in this journey.Â
